Halloween this year will hopefully conjure up something wickedly fun. For its second year The House of Horror Charity Gala is going the extra mile to bring guests into All Hallows’ Eve with Kinkell “transformed into your worst nightmare.” Personally, my worst nightmare at the moment is looming examinations, so I’m hoping that this was an exaggeration; otherwise, I’m truly scared.

The Gala’s co-directors and committee went the extra mile to address the faults associated with last year’s House of Horror and – from what I can see – have expended a lot of effort towards making the night live up to it’s full potential this year. Apart from being the only event where it’s acceptable to dress in whatever you desire without judgement, perks for attendees include complementary syringe shots (the alcoholic kind, not the vaccination!) on entry and free candy throughout the night. By the looks of it, there won’t even be a need to go trick-or-treating the next day!

Once again, guests should endeavour to dress to impress. DJ Saunit and Kalliope will be on the decks throughout the night, and they will, no doubt, keep the dance floor packed. With all proceeds going towards the Elephant Family, a UK based NGO dedicated to protecting Asian elephants, the House of Horror even provides guests with peace of mind that their contribution will be going a very worthwhile conservationist cause.

Final ticket sales will take place on Friday, the 17th of October, from 12-4PM at The VIC. Come early to avoid missing out on one of the most unique nights of the semester. Find more information on their website or the 2014 event page.
