Thanksgiving is upon us, and the weather is finally as cold as one would expect November in Scotland to be. This cocktail is the perfect mix of sweet and savory, and it warms you from your very core. As the ideal accompaniment to turkey and stuffing, or just to enjoy with friends by the fireplace, whip up a few of these and get comfortable.

Ingredients (makes 2):

2 oz. Southern Comfort Liquor
2 oz. Whiskey (Famous Grouse does just fine)
2 oz. Simple Syrup
4 oz. Orange Juice
2 tbsp Cranberry Sauce
2 orange wedges for garnish

Put a spoonful of cranberry sauce into the bottom of each glass. Mix the Southern Comfort, whiskey and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice and split between two highball glasses. Finish each drink with half of the orange juice. Garnish with the orange wedges and serve immediately.
