An enthusiastic writer and perpetual dreamer, Olivia joined The Tribe in 2009 as Fashion Editor. She has written extensively for publications both within and beyond the University of St Andrews journalism scene, and has also co-directed a behind-the-scenes research documentary. Having undergone an excruciating decision-making process, Olivia recently turned down an intern position at Marie Claire Magazine. She is currently reporting on political conferences and interviewing high-profile figures for the News Team at the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, Berlin.
BUSINESS MANAGER Sam Fowles

A former president of Mermaids, Sam has also played a leading role in RAG week and the St Andrews Festival. He now sits on the committees of the St Andrews Law Society and the Student Coalition against Genocide and remains an Executive Producer for the St Andrews Revue. His business experience includes internships at Solar Century and Viator. He was recently a delegate at the 2010 Mckinsey and Company “Discover” Conference. Sam joined The Tribe as World Affairs Editor in 2009.

Alanya’s experience includes serving as secretary on the Mermaids Committee along with extensive acting, directing and production experience. She first joined The Tribe as Theatre Editor and currently serves as Treasurer for the St Andrews Volunteer Service in addition to her role at The Tribe.
