Intro to: News

The Tribe’s News section publishes on various university and community matters. This section consists of four members: our News Editor and our three subsection editors. 

Our news section is St Andrews and student focused. We publish articles on local and global affairs, but with a focus on how they affect our community or students. Many of the ideas submitted to our sections are personal and writer-generated, and therefore, our editors take much care into ensuring that the opinions and ideas portrayed stay true to their author. 

News Editor 

Our News Editor oversees their entire section. Everything our News Editor does consists of boosting their section and ensuring that quality articles that are true to their author are published. They assist their subsection editors in finding writers who have an interest in sharing their voice and provide the help and guidance they need to produce an engaging article. Politics Editor

Our Politics Editor focuses on the ins and outs of today’s undeniably messy political climate. This section will not only focus on global politics, but also narrow in on how the greater issues affect the lives of students in St Andrews. Sports Editor

Our Sports Editor keeps us up to date on the latest from the  various sports events at St Andrews. This section will be filled with predictions of game outcomes, highlights on team stars and stand-outs, and critical opinions on where there is room for improvement. Perspectives Editor
